- scones This is right out of of Cooking,pg ,w/substitutions 2 c flour(use rice flour if they are no gluten eating) cup sugar(I use organic, or brown sugar for the taste,use stevia if they are no sugar eating) 1 TBSP baking powder(I use no aluminum ,it's better on the intestines)(I also use twice the amount) teaspoon salt(Use sea salt, less sodium per spoon) 6 TBSP butter(SUB ORGANIC OIL<SUNFLOWER OIL< OR APRICOT OIL) cup currants(sub blueberries, or raspberries) 1 egg(SUB 1 TBSP milled FLAX SEED)Plus put in a spoon of applesauce-it glues and moisturizes the bread together, like an egg would cup heavy cream(SUB GREEN TEA,OR SOY MILK,OR ALMOND MILK) mix all together, mix the berries in last-you know how they smear up a batter Use oil for a grease on the cookie sheet I put all this in a round lump on the sheet, I like the scones quite high (looks generous when ya slice 'em) sprinkle on some grated nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar on top bake -12-15 minutes. Dip for scones: an apricot /peach or strawberry jam malted in bowls for all to dip their triangle cut scone in is nice or lavender in warmed oil is great lavender can be found in mexican stores by the spices if you don't know a grower
