Weight, Size, & Shape Requirements

Maximum weight is 4 lbs (64 oz).
Packages (Other Than Rolls):
- Maximum length (longest dimension) is 24″.
- Minimum length (longest dimension) is 6″.
- Minimum height is 4″.
- Maximum combined length, height, and depth (thickness) is 36″.
- The postage, address, customs form, and any other required elements must be on a side that's at least 6″ long x 4″ high.
Rolls (Tubes):
- Maximum length is 36″.
- Maximum length plus twice the diameter combined is 42″.
- Minimum length is 8-1/4″.
- Minimum length plus twice the diameter combined is 12″.

When you send international packages using First-Class Package International Service, your package must have a complete and computer-generated customs form:

If you use Click-N-Ship^® service to print your own postage, it will print a customs form for you.
If you’re paying for your postage at the Post Office, save time: Print your own customs form and bring it with your package to the Post Office.

Otherwise, you can bring your package to the Post Office, fill out Form PS 2976-R, and give it to the USPS^® retail associate so they can create and print your customs form.

You don't use First-Class Package International Service to send packages to U.S. Military or Diplomatic Post Offices (APO/FPO/DPO) in other countries. Instead, you'll use domestic services and pay domestic prices.

Military & Diplomatic Mail

When you send packages to U.S. military bases or embassies in other countries using APO/FPO/DPO mail, you'll pay domestic prices, but you’ll still be subject to the destination country's restrictions, and you'll have to fill out a customs form.
